About the Author

Gary Winger was a school librarian for thirty years. A graduate of Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, he majored in education and library science. Winger went on to get his graduate degree in library information science at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Winger is now retired after serving as a librarian in four states. Known as “Mr. Whiskers” to the thousands of students he has taught over the years, he now spends his time writing books and holding motivational storytelling programs. He resides in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Sandy.
