About the Book
It’s July, 1999, and Janet is on vacation in South Carolina. While she is away from home, her husband gets a cat. Janet is afraid of cats, so this event is totally disturbing to her. The cat stays outside for a while, then gradually moves into the garage, and then into the house. Janet’s fear of the cat evolves into love, and she now says the cat is “her little piece of heaven”. The cat’s name is Monique and she tells the story of how she became a member of this family, and shares her experiences from 1999 to present.
About the Author
Janet S. Walton is a new author, who found her experience with her cat to have had such an impact on her life; she thought the story would be interesting enough to write about. Though this book is intended for children of all ages, Janet feels that cat lovers and other pet lovers of all ages, may be inspired by Monique’s account of events that occurred in her process of becoming an accepted member of the Walton family. Cat lovers will surely relate to something in this story. Janet resides in Maryland with her husband, Johnnie and Monique.
