About the Author
Randall P. McIntyre was born and raised on Long Island. He grew up in Half Hollow Hills, was educated at Phillips Exeter Academy, and Yale, where he majored in English literature and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. McIntyre was involved in general aviation, flying his own Cessna Centurian some 3000 hours and flying his own gliders for 500 hours. He holds three diamond badges issued by the American Soaring Society, recognized internationally for achievement in gliding. He has climbed his glider to 28,000 feet over Mt. Washington, NH and flown it 1,000 miles cross country non-stop from Pennsylvania to West Virginia and back. McIntyre worked in direct mail advertising in the US and Canada. For 25 years, he has written a well received quarterly covering his classmates’ activities in the Phillips Exeter Bulletin.
