About the Book
The government finally commits to a manned mission to Mars. Options are debated and unexpected controversial decisions are made as the expedition turns from a scientific voyage to colonization. The program becomes a second space race as a second county tries to reach Mars first and stake their claim. Competition to be the first on Mars goes right done to the wire. Travel to Mars and its exploration is full of dangers and surprises with the travelers experience their share. The conclusion of the race is one no one expected.
About the Author
Randy Olson has a bachelor and masters degree in Aerospace Engineering. He worked on Trident missiles the first five years of his career. Next he worked for the US Air Force on combat aircraft and aircrew trainers for those aircraft. Mr. Olson was the 1999 winner of the Air Force’s John J. Welch Jr., Award for Excellence in Acquisition Management for inventing Distributed Mission Training. In 2005 he retired from the Air Force. He and his wife live in Ohio and have two grown children and two grandchildren. Dan Desjardins has a degree in Chemistry and a degree in Electronics Engineering. He splits his time between being a Lt. Colonel in the US Air Force Reserves and working as a Playwright.
