From Within Me

About the Book

“From Within Me” is a book of poems in which I was inspired to write over the years. My parents realized my ability to compose poems and songs at a very young age. I am from a very large family and they really could not afford extras, but they purchased a manual typewriter, as a Christmas gift, to me. Between my typing class in high school and my new friend, my thoughts started to spiral out of control. There is a certain joy and satisfaction in listening to your thoughts telling a story, giving advise, or simply revealing things to you. The content of this book expresses mood, thoughts and feelings when each poem was composed. Some may be inspirational, humorous, optimistic, fictional and nonfiction, but the words are “From Within Me.” The intentions of the contents in this book are meant to encourage and entertain you, with a little twist of humor. My focus is on anyone that will read at least one that will encourage and/or touch them in such a way that will be inspirational to them. To some, this book will bring back memories; while to others, it may inspire. In any event, happy reading!
