Within this author’s early lifetime England issued a decree that the Welsh should not be spoken nor taught in the Welsh schools. As an alternative to war to control a people its mores and language becames taboo.

However the Welsh proved to be a stubborn lot, so years later when the young Queen ascended the British throne, that order was rescinded. Perhaps Her Majesty recognized Lyrical cadence carried within the Welsh soul to spin out the yarn that produces wonderful stories.

This Welsh descendant hopes so.
