About the Author
Eileen McFetridge spent many summer months researching in Northern Ireland and Eire in the 1990’s. Fascinated by a photo she was given of her young great aunt Matilda, Eileen found little date to prove Matilda’s migration to America. Descendants could not remember the city in which she settled. After years of really trying to substantiate facts Eileen decided to blend history and fiction into a novel. Eileen has always lived on Long Island, N.Y. and taught in public schools in New York City and suburbs. She set her novel there and in the quiet country towns of Northern Ireland.
