About the Author

ABOUT THE AUTHOR The Penny Stock Millionaire was written by Dominic P. Giangregorio, a former Vice President of Shearson/American Express. He served ten years as a Stockbroker and Financial Consultant in the Century City offices, Los Angeles, California. The author is uniquely qualified to write about mini-stocks. He has been trading them for more than 30 years. Dominic started trading mini-stocks while serving in the U.S. Foreign Service, overseas with the U.S. State Department. In his free time, after work, Dominic would study the Wall Street Journal learning as much as he could about the stock market. He also studied Fortune Magazine, Forbes and Standard Poor’s Reports. While working at various Embassies and Consulates around the world, Dominic would send telegrams to his stockbroker in New York to buy and sell his favorite mini-stocks. After ten years with the Foreign Service, Dominic decided to make a career change. He had become so obsessed with the stock market, he decided to become a stock broker. So with his wife and four daughters he returned to the United States. He then studied for the NASDAQ Exam and went to work for Samuel B. Franklin & Co., a small over-the-counter firm in Beverly Hills. A few years later Dominic went to work as Director of Technical Analysis for Arlington and Hanover where he gained expertise in analysis of charts & graphs. In 1976 Dominic was interviewed by Shearson Haden Stone, Members of the New York Stock Exchange. He was hired as a Commodity Specialist and became a Financial Consultant, trading stocks, bonds and commodities. Subsequently, Shearson merged with American Express and Dominic rose to position of Vice President of Investments in 1982. Dominic also attended UCLA, taking courses in Security Analysis and Money & Banking. With his experience, insight and frankness Dominic brings to the reader a new view of the Market. One that is enlightening to the small trader and the professional as well. He will reveal the market as only few know it.
