About the Book

It all began thousands of years ago deep in a wooded area that now and always has belonged to the ancestors of the Alaxander family . . . A human sacrifice gone bad and a curse pronounced at the time of death; a curse so terrible that it has affected every generation from the tribe of Alax to the current Alaxander family.

Callie Alaxander, an installer/trainer for a pharmacy point-of-sale company and her archaeologist brother, Mason, return to the glass house their father built in Missouri. It has been nine years since the disappearance of their parents and sixteen years since they were allowed to return to their family home. From the time of her arrival on the Alaxander land, Callie has felt the strangeness of her surroundings, added to that the warnings of a local hermit and the obvious fear of the hermit’s mentally challenged son for her safety, Callie begins to wonder what she and her brother have gotten themselves into.

Mason’s arrival does nothing to dispel Callie’s fears, especially when they are attacked by a malevolent evil that appears to control more than the Alaxander house. Torn between abandoning their only link to their parents and their own safety, the two decide to stay and are joined by Mason’s best friend, Darren Makabe, who is also Callie’s ex-fiancé.

An archaeologist himself, Darren has problems of his own; still in love with Callie, and tormented by the aftereffects of being buried alive during an archaeological dig, he hopes to win Callie back and rid himself of the one thing that could destroy his chances with the woman he loves and his career.

As the three investigate their surroundings, they not only uncover the terrible secrets of the Alaxander bloodline, but they must repeatedly fight for their lives and their sanity as terror upon terror greets them at every turn.
