Dr. Schneider draws on 40 years of experience in public education as a teacher, principal, instructional supervisor, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, and consultant. He believes that court rulings have created a moral vacuum in our schools and Nation, that can be traced to the fallacious misinterpretation of our First Amendment in the Everson vs. the Board of Education case by our Supreme Court in 1947. This ruling provided the precedent for the range of similar rulings that provided fuel for the culture war that rages in our Nation today and made the Supreme Court the final arbiter of all matters regarding the relationship of government and religion. Religion and Judeo-Christian values have been banished from our public schools and our public square. This was not the vision of our Founding Fathers who rejected a state church, but believed that public policy should be consistent with their religious beliefs.
