About the Author

My name is Letitia Mallory; in the month of February God created me in 1977 on the fifth day. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. I’m a child filled with love and dreams to make a difference in my own unique way. I’m married to a soldier in the army who is deployed to Iraq for the third time and we have three lovable kids. I love writing poems in my spare time, singing and listening to all types of music. One day I hope to learn how to read music notes and turn my poems into music as well. I’m always into learning new things for I don’t like to be limited to what I can do. To me having options is like being an eagle, enjoying the value of endless fields to fly with God on my side. In 2005 Benning’s Backstage presented a dinner theater production of Don’t Drink the Water by Woody Allen at the Kelley Hill Recreation Center in Fort Benning, GA. with a great director/producer Peggy Cornwell. I’m proud to say I was the stage manager. Being a stage manager was an experience I loved very much and hope to take it to another level with my writing. Publishing my book has been a great experience. This makes me want to do more in the future in more areas other than the continuance of poetry.
