About the Book

This book is a brief description of my life in the four countries that I lived in. It stretches from my early childhood until old age. In the first two countries, Russia and Poland, my childhood was influenced by the turmoils that were going on at the time: communism and World War II. The third country, Germany, we reached right after the war when I was ten. Here I had to get used to people of a different background and mentality. We emigrated to the U.S. when I was about 21. New York was exciting but also demanding and I loved it.

About the Author

I consider myself as a straightforward person, too much so sometimes. Some people like this feature, others consider it as rude and tactless which it is sometimes. Nevertheless, I prefer it to hypocrisy or sleaziness which are so prevalent nowadays. I used to be kind to people, but this has changed. I have lived in four countries and have traveled pretty extensively. Experience has taught me a great deal about the human species. Yes, there are some kind and decent people, but what percentage of the total do they represent? My love and devotion is directed towards animals only now.
