This book tells the family secrets that are kept secret for decades as missing pages in the story book. The only descendant of the family is determined to fulfill those pages before the lives of the maternal side of the family expire, or before it is too late. As a result, among all the family secrets, one genuine love story becomes the core of the family secrets. The secret story was almost buried forever, but unveiled unexpectedly. “Family Secrets” is unveiled to a descendant who is determined to search for the ancestral history which is kept hidden because the revelation of the mother’s past was taboo to the descendant for four decades. In the process, a heartwarming love story is unveiled as an undying lobe that is resulted in the mother’s secret birth. Additionally, for another family, the dark secrets are unveiled, but it appears “what goes around comes around” in a negative way to punish a grandeur illusionist because of her wrongdoings that include a mysterious fire, murders, and embezzlement. “Family Secrets” entices readers’ curiosity to the unpredictability of each human life in general with some family secrets.
About the Author
Annu Hirae grew up on the island of Okinawa and completed her bachelor’s degree in elementary Education during the U.S. Military Occupation (1947-1972). Married an American and had two sons, later divorced. The author obtained a master’s degree in Education in Georgia, retired after thirty years of teaching as a public school teacher. A second marriage to a professor left her a widow. She now writes and travels.
