About the Author
Soon after World War I ended, I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a second daughter to a young immigrant family. From my earliest life, hearing stories delighted me. As soon as I learned to read and write, I told my own stories with pencil on paper. Later, after the end of World War II, my husband, children and I emigrated to Southern California. I entered college for the first time and achieved a B.A. in History and Literature, both stories about people. Now, with the loss of my husband, writing continues to be my love, my loyal companion, critic and my most appreciative and best listener.
