About the Book

This is the story of a young, ambitious redwing named Pie who unlike her juvenile peers, dreams of leading the flock in the great Migration one day. But because of the ancient custom of allowing only the strongest males to lead. Pie doesn’t stand a chance or does she? Will Pies’ strong determination and courage be enough to withstand both the forces of nature and foe as she faces severe hardships during the journey while holding fast to her dream of leading the migration one day ?

About the Author

Titi Ola Diallo lives in Warner Robins,Ga. with her family. She is a Busy Homemaker and is now turning her career to writing books and novels for children of all ages. “Pie leads the migration” is her first book for children. Currently Titi is working on a Bird Poetry book that should be out by January 2008, and a sequel to “PIE LEADS THE MIGRATION” The idea for “PIE LEADS THE MIGRATION”, came to mind early one morning in late summer as she sat on her back porch, patiently awaiting the arrival of the first migrants heading South for the winter. An avid bird watcher Titi often leaves pounds of wild bird seed in protected feeders on her property to provide extra nourishment for these weary travelers.
