About the Author

The late Irving A. Spiegel (1916-2001) was an inspiring artist, writer, and poet, who published several books and put all his love for poetry and the arts into a studio and gallery in Miami, Florida. He was also our social conscience when he founded the Children’s Holocaust memorial, which was designed to honor the memories of the children who perished in the holocaust and to inspire visitors to rejoice in the innate goodness in people, to celebrate their similarities, to respect their differences and to strive for a better world. He passed away before the memorial could be constructed.
