About the Author

Harold Gower was born in Reno and raised in Winnemucca, and began writing poetry as a teenager. He eventually settled in Alameda California where he joined the Alameda Poets publishing his poems in their anthologies, for one of which he had the honor of being the editor. Over the years he collected a number of poems he had written about Nevada, wildlife, and astronomy. Although, spending a few weekends on various ranches did not qualify him for the title of “buckaroo”, he did manage to write a few cowboy poems. He currently lives in Livermore California with his wife, Leta.
