About the Author

Shirley began her dance training at North Shore High School located in West Palm Beach, FL. She has since attended bible College at Evangel Christian Center where she received her Associates of Art degree and a diploma of biblical studies from Logas Christian College in Jacksonville, FL. She has also attended many master classes in dance i.e. dance d-mension in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. McTyre Institure in Miami, FL. Workshop and conference hosted by Dr. harriston of Rose of Sharon, Liturgical Dance class under Lutricia Welters (Lu) University of Performing Arts Center. Shirley has successfully hosted dance camps, conducted workshops, seminars and has mentored other liturgical dancers. She is currently studying at the University of Performing Arts Center. She is often described as different, creative, awesome in the works of ministry, seeking to touch the heart of God. Shirley is director, choreographer and active minister of the Westside Baptist Church in Hollywood, FL. A resident of South Florida, Shirely and her husband Minister Carll Jones and their two sons Travis and C J live in Ft. Lauderdale. Rev. Shirley Jones was the First Aftican American to facilitate a dance workshop at the African American Church growth and Christian Education Conference. Shirley has since worked with other organizations through out the counties
