About the Book

In a time when religion has lost much of its credibility, the greatest challenge for planet Earth is to find and to maintain the wise balance between our material needs and our spiritual needs. This is not the job of politics and the politician. It is the job of constructive religion and the clergy. Religious psychology, with its accent on a positive attitude, can be a most powerful, effective, satisfying, and inspiring assistant in leading the way. A positive attitude is the greatest medicine in helping one’s immune system to conquer illness and pain. A positive attitude can also be the greatest medicine in helping planet Earth to succeed in achieving and maintaining wise spiritual-material balance. We humans do indeed need the inspiring assistance of constructive religious belief and even the profound assistance of a wise touch of spiritual fantasy. We have devoted much time trying to satisfy our material needs. World peace and security and our own peace of mind demand that we put the spiritual realm in proper perspective and that we stay focused on fulfilling and maintaining the wise spiritual-material balance. This is the message of Rel-Psych—a psychology of religion. Welcome aboard! Attunement has worked very effectively and inspiringly for me. It can also work wonders for you. But you must be patient. Attunement does not usually develop overnight. With proper patience and deep faith, it will bless you with total inspiration as it has done to me with my overwhelming appreciation. You, yes you, can perform miracles. Religion is the greatest source of miracles. Of course, religion is strictly a belief system—a spiritual fantasy that cannot be proven by humans. If your religious beliefs give you peace of mind, stay with your spiritual fantasy and treat as if it is real, but keep it constructive so that you will not lose your peace of mind. Keep it constructive so that you may be blessed with the power of miracles through spiritual attunement. Finally, keep in mind and recite every day the first rule of attunement: The art of living Is the art of giving. So, give with love And be close to God. Follow this rule. It is the sacred path to attunement.

About the Author

AL-DAVID BERNSTEIN was born in Bangor, Maine, on June 11, 1927. He graduated from Bangor High School in 1945 just before the end of World War II. After serving in the U.S. Army of Occupation in Germany, he received a bachelor of arts degree from Boston University School of Public Relations. Al intentionally chose to work for forty years in the retail sales field, using it as a great laboratory to test the development of higher ethics and morality, spiritual-material balance, and spiritual honesty. Al continues to reside in Bangor. Writing remains his passion. Al and his wife, Rhoda, raised three delightful sons—Bud, Rick, and Harley.
