About the Author

Mary Ann Callan has worked for the Poway Unified School District in California for twenty three years. She wrote these poems and sentences for use in a reading support program called Panther Readers. She also coordinates Dragon Reading Club, a cross age peer tutoring model. Mary Ann has four adult children, and two grandchildren. Her hobbies include: biking, hiking, cooking, gardening, reading and writing.
