About the Book

Many of our Chinese Language teachers face the challenge that there is not a Chinese curriculum available for teaching the Chinese language in American elementary schools. I hope this book will motivate us to create sustainable Chinese language program in American schools.

This book provides theme-based activities for teaching Chinese language in American elementary schools. With this book, students will gain basic knowledge of beginning Chinese. Theme-based vocabularies are presented in simple worksheets that require students to read and write in Chinese. Age-appropriate songs and word lists are included.
