REFLECTIONS OF A WARRIOR

About the Book

As a survivor of a twenty-four year substance abuse addiction, I am the author of the novel ‘Misplaced,’ this Poetry book, ‘Reflections of a Warrior’ and the creator of ‘Understanding Recovery - Substance Abuse,’ greeting cards. In today’s society, anyone of us, anywhere in the world can walk into any store and buy a greeting card about any and every subject with the exception of ‘substance abuse recovery cards.’ Due to the acute need in today’s society for greeting cards particularly on the subject of substance abuse, I have created these cards, soon to follow this book.

In life, we often see things as they appear and never really focus on things as they really are. The truth of the matter is though, that substance abuse has penetrated this planet’s entire population in one form or another. Our children are experiencing the effects of drug and alcohol use at increasingly earlier ages than ever before. The majority of us don’t like to even admit that we know someone who has an addiction, or substance abuse problem. Yet, we all know that we know of someone who is in this position now, or who has once been in this position. ‘Reflections of a Warrior’ is the voice of a messenger that tells the reader stories about the different trials and tribulations that I have survived in order to be where I am today. I am a survivor of the disease that tried to destroy my life. Today I speak out and share with others the dangers of substance abuse, because if I can accomplish and fulfill my dreams after abusing myself for twenty-four years, then so can everyone who reads my book.
