About the Book

The book is my story. It is true. It is a story I feel should be shared by everyone. So often any person dealing with a disability or crisis quits instead of believing, getting up, and wiping off the tears and going for it. The book is titled Three Wheels. The book contains no chapters it consist of only wheels - the first wheel, the second wheel, and the third wheel. It shows all of us we must move from one wheel of life to the next, and by doing so, we will reach that third wheel of life that has been there all along. So often, especially with disabilities, I find that people find themselves stuck in the first wheel and are afraid to go on. We simply fail to trust God so we can venture further. The first wheel is distressing battles fought and won. One has to experience the frustration, the sadness, and the defeat, in order to be conscious of the change when it starts happening in the second wheel. Whether we are able to stand supported in our faith at that particular time is what we discover in the second wheel and make our way ultimately to the third wheel. Changes come gradually without us being aware they are happening. Changes have a way of being silent. Changes go unnoticed unless we open our eyes. I had retreated to my comfort zone in the first wheel. My own little world, not letting anyone in and keeping my eyes closed. Experiencing the second wheel I found myself sharing, helping, and changing. I was ready to move on. Life is too short. I wanted to live. I wanted to laugh. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines laugh as “showing joy”, will as “a wish or desire”, answer as “a solution to a problem”, and heal as “being whole”; it goes on to define miracle as “an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs.” I define my third wheel as “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us.”
