About the Book

Sir Ratword is not an average rat. He loves words; in fact, he stuffs his backpack with them and gives them away as the need arises. He always has the right word to turn the day around for an unhappy child. Ratword is sophisticated, compassionate, generous and humble. Though he would love to be respected and to have a name, in the end he realizes that a name does not define him.

About the Author

Charlotte Holder is well known for her paintings based on word play. She loves to turn a word or phrase into a visual that is surprising and unexpected. She paints with the heart of a child but with the skill of a seasoned artist. “I can’t change the troubles of the world,” she says “but through my words and paintings, I hope to bring a new way of seeing our world that is full of joy.” Charlotte earned her degrees in art from William Woods University, The Memphis Academy of Art and the University of Memphis. She lives in Alabama with her husband Mike.
