Kyle Leavitt was 11 years old at the time of writing his first book. The idea of writing a book series started from what Kyle would describe as “a threat to write, or else”! Yes, it started out as a summer composition assignment in trade for not having to attend summer school. The story series, though, came from what Kyle enjoyed each night at his Aunt Peggy’s house when she would tell him a bedtime story that she made up. One story was about a Magic Stump. So, with the memory of that, Kyle decided to bring that story into book form. Many of Kyle’s own characteristics and thoughts come out through Peter. Aunt Peggy just retired from Hewlett Packard where she was a Purchasing Manager for many years. She loves to make up stories and decided to team up with Kyle to start the series. “We just wanted to do something creative and present a story line that would be fun for other kids to enjoy. “
