About the Author
My name is Claudette Diek, I am a Palestinian Catholic and was born in Bethlehem, Israel on July 13, 1959. I was married and divorced twice, and I am currently single and live in Hollywood, California. I have a 31-year-old son Jean-Pierre, and a 29-year-old daughter Nicole. I started going to college at age 44 years old. My Major is Psychology and I graduated with Honors from Los Angeles City College two Associate Degree, one in Psychology and one in Child Development. On June 13, 2009, I graduated with a BA Degree in Psychology, and I became a Graduate Student at California State University in Los Angeles. I love children and I enjoy working with them, and I would like to be a Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist. My poetry is dedicated to my daughter Nicole, and to my music professor Doug whom I love spiritually and unconditionally. He inspired me to love classical music and to write poetry. I started writing poetry when I was a teenager, but I wrote them in the Arabic Language. Then, I started writing poetry in English when my professor told me that he loved poetry. So, I wrote him twelve out of fourteen, also, one about me, and one poetry about my daughter Nicole. I hope one day to turn my poetry into love songs. I want to give special thanks to my daughter Nicole who has been very supportive of me in everything that I do. She is my inspiration and my rock, as well as the best daughter and best friend that I could ever have.
