A Bucket Full of Love

About the Book

Divorce is a bitter thing for adults, even more so for parents with children. "A Bucket Full of Love for Mommy´s Little Girl" is a picture book especially created for kids who are trying to cope with feelings of confusion, sadness, and even guilt over the absence of their father. It gives mothers who have full custody, a gentle way to help their children. And it gives children an insight of what their classmates may be going through.

"A Bucket Full of Love for Mommy´s Little Girl"is a book for ages four and older that provides compassionate answers. All Kids will learn from its pages the reality and value of the love that surrounds them--from mom, grandma, grandpa, as well as siblings. It teaches them to become aware of the love that is right before them in the here and now, and what a beautiful and lasting thing that is.

"So all the love in the make-believe bucket is for me! All mine??"
Grandma nodded.
"I think I can add more love to the bucket by loving them all back!" the little girl said wistfully.

Author H. C. Wingert speaks from experience. She is the grandmother of two girls who are facing the pain of separation from their parent. She says, "A Bucket Full of Love for Mommy´s Little Girl" has emerged from observing the pain that the children cannot verbalize."

A child of divorce herself, Wingert says she has experienced hopelessness and helplessness, and most of all the yearning for the other parent and speaking from experience she writes the words she would have wanted to hear when it happened to her. The intent of the book, she says, "is not to put blame on anyone, but rather to be able to accept what is."

In a day and age when so many children must face the pain of living in a divided family environment, "A Bucket Full of Love for Mommy´s Little Girl" is a balm for the heart.

About the Author

H. C. Wingert’s multi-faceted career in the administration field, in management and most recently as independent Professional also includes a multitude of community volunteer work. Presently, she volunteers her time at the nearby Center of the Arts as well as art teacher working with children after they have finished their tours of the Museum. She is listed in Marquis’ “Who’s Who of American Women” as well as “Who’s Who in the World”. H. C. Wingert was born in the Czech Republic and grew up in Germany. She earned a degree as Industrial Business Merchant in Germany and also obtained a Management Degree at Montclair College in New Jersey. She resides with her husband in Southern California.
