When Karen Sacksteder was told that she had breast cancer, she felt that it was just another chapter in her book. The author and her sisters found out that chemotherapy would increase her chances of surviving to ninety-five percent. That was good news. Chemo it is, then. But the treatment would cause her to lose all her hair. That wasn�t good. About the Author

Karen Sacksteder has since retired Vivian and lives an exciting life with her beagle basset hound Jack. Her many businesses keep her busy with Sacksteder’s Interiors and Design Group, which has two showrooms. They specialize in unique furnishings and custom interior design for residential and commercial interests and have won numerous awards in the local Homearama shows. The newest venture is called, “Memory Blankets” and was inspired by her sons Christmas gift of a wonderful blanket with a picture of the whole family including her recently deceased husband. It gave great comfort, so Karen found a way to share these blankets with everyone. “The Shaggy Shammy”, a super absorbent towels that dries twenty times faster than regular towels are designed to help keep your pets dry and you happy!
