About the Book
Alfonsina and the Ostrich is about a young girl who lives on a cattle ranch in Argentina. She has a HUMONGOUS quarrel with her little brother and runs away into the hills with her dog, only to discover that there are some mean critters out there. The story attracts attention to how smart her hunting dog is in steering the ostrich away from Alfonsina.
