About the Book
Life and Christianity Life and Christianity. No seriously, I do not see the difference. Many people refer to their ‘spiritual life’ and their ‘secular life’ as if it is two totally different things set apart from each other. I, on the other hand, do not see how you can separate these two since you are living only one life. Or maybe these guys somehow have a type of split personality syndrome and they don’t realize it yet. I do see being a Christian, not as a life style, but as life itself. If you have decided to be a Christian and you are born again and filled with the Spirit, then this is your life. There isn’t this ‘other place’ where you can escape to when your ‘secular life’ becomes too much for you. I think this is probably the biggest misconception of Christianity. This isn’t anybody’s fault; humanity was programmed this way over the centuries of religion. The hole in your soul This writing is for all of you who have children like the child that I was. You might at times wonder what is chasing them. You might even plead with our Father to put a stop to the torment they put you through or just simply to save their souls. It is as if nothing you do or give will ever satisfy them… Bless God for children like this!!! To teach us all a lesson and that when they eventually find Christ they will never let go of Him again. Hopefully this will help you understand some of what is happening to your child, and also it may help you understand yourself and show you a way to first identify what it is you are looking for and then to find it. First you probably want to know where I find such wisdom. Well, the answer is the Bible and there is something that you need to understand about the Bible that our churches have never taught us: The Bible is a spiritual book and should be understood spiritually. If the Bible was a mere historical writing, it sure would not have a lot of significance. But if you understand that it is a spiritual book which should be understood spiritually, it provides the answers to life! If the Bible where a historical writing of historical value, then why is there mention of only 3 of Adam’s descendants? Genesis 5: 3-5 tells us that he begat sons and daughters and was 930 years old by the time he died. Don’t tell me that anyone who lives almost a whole century did not do anything of significance to the human race? Think about it, all he did was to condemn the human race to sin and had 3 sons named Cain, Able and Seth. But now if the Bible was a Spiritual book that needs to be understood spiritually, everything in this book has some spiritual significance. Now with this new found knowledge of the Bible, start reading it again. Start with Genesis1:1. I am not saying that the events in the Bible did not really happen; I am saying that they did really happen but that these events were not all that happened. God hand-picked these events because they all have a multitude of spiritual value to the reader who allows the Holy Spirit to crack it open in our hearts. The things we want Everybody wants something. And everything we want has a price, no matter what it is what we want, it will cost us something. This brings to mind the serenity prayer:”Lord gives us the courage to change the things we can, the serenity to accept the things we cannot change and the wisdom to know the difference.” The things that we want ranges from the material and physical to the emotional and spiritual and sometimes we just want to be happy. And yet all of it has a price tag. We need to figure out what we really want and in saying that we have to figure out whether the things that we want will eventually cause us to be truly happy and successful in life. Ask your self this question: “What will really make you happy?” The answer to that is obviously a “something” that you want. On the Suzy Orman Show she has a segment named appropriately “Can I afford it?” Which is a different question than “Can I have it?” The answer to “C
