A group of bounty hunters discover that not all is as it seems when they visit their leader Nauka’s brother Ezekiel at their house in Northern Astatia. When it is discovered that Nauka was bitten by a Heatstroke, a vampiric race, the lives of the whole group gets turned upside down. A mysterious and unknown object is the key, but to what? The experiences they will face in the first of this 3-part story will test the friendships of the group, as well as their patience and loyalty to Nauka. E. R. Schafer, a 19-year-old resident of Clover, South Carolina, is new to the writing world. As a college student, she is currently in the midst of studying Creative Writing, Psychology, and Religion at Converse College. Writing since the 8th grade, she never got any of her writing finished until she participated in NaNoWriMo, her first win resulting in the first book of The Heatstroke Chronicles. With around 32 story folders on her laptop’s desktop, she hopes to get her stories told to the world and fascinate her readers with the fantasy world that she created for herself.
