About the Book

Have you ever been hungry for a fat, juicy hot dog dripping with mustard, catsup or even chocolate sauce but found yourself too busy to eat one? An insignificant Bantam rooster, after having been introduced to this culinary delight by his newfound friend, Jenny would never pass up eating a hot dog. It is his passion for hot dogs that causes him to enter a hot dog eating contest that is being held at the annual summer fair. His fellow contestants, unbeknown to him are all humans. This fearful little rooster called Elmer will captivate young and old alike as he is faced with this formidable and life altering challenge.

About the Author

Anna Pinette, a Canadian author of children’s books, lives in Manitoba with her husband of forty-one years. A teacher by profession, she has specialized in the primary grades and in Special Education within the Turtle River School Division. She is the grandmother of four. Her published works include: Petunia, the Naughty, Little Lamb and Elmer, The Hot Dog Loving Rooster. Her latest publication is Bubble, Bubble, Pop! - Stories for Children of All Ages. Drawing from her life experiences, Anna writes from the perspective of a person born and raised in the country. Her writings reflect the close family ties that she values.
