About the Author
YOLONDA L. SMITH is one of 3 siblings born in Michigan to strong, family oriented parents. A committed Teacher and Habilitation Specialist, Yolonda has two children, Kevin II, age 8, and Allana, age 5. After the birth of their second child Allana, who was diagnosed with a congenital hand abnormality, Yolonda was inspired to write, “Differently Able Me.” Yolonda and her husband Kevin continue to strengthen their commitment of advocacy for all children, especially those faced with disability challenges.
