About the Book

Cameos are “brief writings that bring into delicate or sharp focus the character of a specific person, place, or event.” In her latest book, Barbara Ann Hillman Jones does just that from her own personal experiences. Her cameos are real—she writes about real people, real places, and real happenings. Most of them are centered around her Swedish heritage and of growing up in the predominantly Swedish community of Jamestown, New York. Barbara’s cameos are inspiring and uplifting, and her hope is that the book will bring happy memories and warm feelings to each reader.

About the Author

BARBARA HILLMAN JONES, a third generation Swedish-American, grew up in the predominantly Swedish community of Jamestown, NY. All of her grandparents were born in Sweden and came to America in the early 1900s. Swedish was spoken in their homes, and Swedish customs observed. Barbara attended Jamestown public schools and Bob Jones University, Greenville, SC. She has had a fascinating professional career as an executive secretary to CEOs of several corporations and organizations. She has authored three other books, and she and her husband, a minister, are happily retired in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
