About the Book
Mr. Laird is a graduate of the School of Engineering, University of Wisconsin. Served as an engineer for manufacturing companies and over a period of about 30 years served as a City Manager for six municipalities. Was editor of the American City magazine and a consultant for a proposed New Town. A consultant for the water system for Addis Abba, Ethiopia, and was on the staff of the Commercial Fisheries Division for Alaska’s Department of Fish And Game. In 1952 and 1954 was an unsuccessful candidate for the U. S. House of Representatives from the then existing fourth District of Nebraska.
