About the Book

This journey has been a word by word process. It gingerly guided me, each thought required contemplating. Cocoon of Protection is a sum of all fears that propels us to become better than what we are. My wish for you is that your time and energy be placed in a cocoon of protection, your thoughts provocatively placed on the pages of reflection, and the peace of God always protect you, because his mercy endures forever.

About the Author

I was born in the south, the eldest of three girls, always outdoors and into something. Growing up I was naturally curious and enjoyed reading from the beginning. To this day I get goose bumps when ever I enter a library, I even enjoy the smell of the library. There is a magnificent feeling that overpowers me when I sit down to read a book, such opportunities for the imagination to react and produce. I never knew I would become a writer. Of course college was a must, so I didn’t enjoy the long arduous study hours, but I did get an education, and received a degree in Nursing. My nursing career has carried me far and wide across the great divide of The United States, where I began writing my thoughts, ideas and conversations which have led to this first book of poetry. My favorite authors/poet’s are Maya Angelou, Zora Neale Hurston, Robert Frost, Gwendolyn Brooks, Langston Hughes, William Shakespeare, and Toni Morrison. I am graciously proud of these words and I hope you will enjoy them as well. I look forward to conversing with you again in my next endeavor.
