About the Book

Weaving together poetry, prose, prayers and scripture, this book connects the experiences and emotions of grief with spiritual resources for comfort, strength and hope. When someone is burdened by the many responsibilities surrounding illness and death this little book may be read in small sections as an oasis of inspiration. Recognizing that grieving often begins long before a death such gradual losses are addressed. Moving through the intensity of death and emotions of remembering and celebrating a life to eventually beginning to heal, there are many opportunities for a variety of people to make personal connections and find something helpful in these pages.

About the Author

Carol Green has been an ordained pastor for 28 years, serving United Methodist churches in Missouri, Florida and North Carolina. She has a B.A. from Florida Southern College and a Master of Divinity degree from Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, MO. Currently she is a professional staff member of iTherapyRX providing phone and online spiritual guidance and support. Both Rev. Green’s professional life and her personal life have prepared her to write this book. She has journeyed with many church members through both lengthy illnesses and sudden deaths and has experienced the lengthy illnesses and deaths of both off her parents. Carol is the mother of two adult children.c
