About the Book

This is a short and humorous adventure story in picture book form. Octrina is a sweet but clumsy little octopus who knocks other children down when she tries to play. She breaks up dishes when she tries to entertain and knocks down all soup cans in the grocery store. Finally, she finds success and happiness after becoming a school teacher where every teacher needs eight arms.

About the Author

Mrs. Pollard is a retired elementary-school librarian. After taking a Binney & Smith workshop, she made an octopus puppet. She writes stories to entertain children. She lives with her husband and family in Grovetown, Georgia, where she still writes stories for children.
