This book is a collection of my poetry that, more often than not, came from the inspiration of my family, my friends, holidays and special events; or simply the urge to put the pen to the paper and write

About the Author

Delores Young: I grew up in Miami, Florida. I am the youngest of five children, whom, with the exception of my sister, was 11 at the time I came along; were grown and had families of their own. At the age of 23, I packed up my things and moved to the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina to be near my parents. It is here that I feel my life truly began. It is here that I get my inspirations. In 1988 I gave birth to my son, Bryan, my biggest accomplishment. In 2004 I married my soul mate and second husband Bill, who brought with him, my loving stepson, Josh. Throughout the past few years, many of my friends have read what I have written and requested that I write a poem for them as a gift for a loved one; and so it is through their encouragement, and that of my family, that I am writingthis book.
