“Today simulation is no longer of a territory, a being, or a substance. It is a hyperreal generated model of the real; the concept forming the basis of ‘The Matrix.’”(page 263)

“The Singularity, a vision of the near future in which human beings and machines merge so that illness, old age, and even death become things of the past.” (page 267)

“This malevolence, which Steiner dubbed Ahriman, is characterized by the denial of soul and spirit in favor of scientific materialism and the dominance of humans by machines.” (page 268)

“Thus the first ultra-intelligent machine is the last invention that man need ever make.” (‘I.J. Good’ page 271) “Our machines have been, are, and will continue to be our tools to do both good and evil.” (page 281)
