About the Book
word disclaimer
every word in these poems
has been used by another
writer
I did not coin new words
although sometimes the specific
right
word did not appear in my mind,
the collegiate dictionary, Roget’s thesaurus
authoritative
therefore, I will revise until
my bifocal vision blurs, pertinent words
diminish
to shadows on lined paper when
black lines streak across the computer
screen
and memory wanes I shall declare
my authorship complete and pray
someone
will read or copy – appreciate
or when the weather turns cold
shred and burn
