About the Author
Biography of the Author Liane M. DeAngelo Liane DeAngelo graduated from Brooklyn College with a BA in elementary education and an MS in teacher of students with disabilities. She was a teacher for 28 years and now does private tutoring and freelance writing. She has over twenty articles published by Yahoo and has written many articles for website owners. Her idea to write a children’s book came when she taught 3 to 5 year olds. She noticed how much they enjoyed being read to, looking at the pictures and loving the way she changed her voice to fit the mood of the book. She also realized how much they comprehended. They used the illustrations to identify the characters, the setting and the feelings of the characters. They were also able to predict what would happen next by listening to the words and looking at the pictures. With this in mind- Liane set her sites on writing a realistic fiction picture book called Fishing in the Country. Fishing in the Country is dedicated to my family and all the great summers we spent fishing in Long Island, New York. Biography of the illustrator Michael DeAngelo My name is Michael DeAngelo and I am from Brooklyn, New York. Ever since I was a child I had always had a love for the arts. Since the first set of colored pencils my parents bought me I have not been able to stop drawing. As I grew I and learned to enhance my art through tons of practice I decided to make turn this passion into more than a hobby, so I decided to go to LaGuardia High School for Music and Art. This school trained me to really bring out my inner talent and it allowed me to flourish as an artist. While attending this school I also realized how much I loved movies and began practicing acting and film making. Today I have written over five screen plays and started production on two of them. I hope to continue my career in the arts for as long as I am living and I hope that one day my art will be able to be seen around the world.
