About the Book

An Agent answers a routine telephone call, and is drawn into a late night confrontation involving the seizure of twenty tons of marijuana. Defendants begin to talk and suddenly it becomes a one hundred ton marijuana conspiracy. Along the way, battles are fought among Federal judicial districts for authority to prosecute. The Deputy Attorney General, Rudy Giuliani, settles the dispute and awards the investigation to Beaumont, Texas over New York. At the close of the investigation, two King Pins, over thirty people, and a corrupt public offi cial have been prosecuted along with the seizure of millions of dollars in assets; and along the way, people have died. Still, there remained a question of justice.

About the Author

After graduating from a small Baptist University in central Texas, the author joined the U. S. Department of Justice. Initially, the U. S. Border Patrol and later the U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration. After joining the DEA, the author became intertwined in the “Conspiracy Revealed.” At the conclusion of the investigation the author was recognized with several nice awards: DEA’s Administrators Award, a Special Award from the Texans War on Drugs Committee, special recognition from the Director of the FBI, William Webster. The Author retired from Law Enforcement in January, 1998.
