About the Book

The World Outside My Door is the story of a young person whose mundane life is transformed dramatically by an encounter with the only other character in the book, the world. Overwhelmed at first by its enormity and complexity, there is a struggle to overcome the anxiety and introversion which had sustained the character’s isolation. The world's visit provokes a catharsis in the young person, who by the end of the tale is enchanted by its diversity and riches, and wants only to see and experience as much of it as possible.

About the Author

Ben Lindahl was born and lives in San Francisco. Ben has worked in fine art glass blowing shops, machine shops and donut shops, but has recently been building custom homes all over Northern California. He has a great fondness of the natural world. His niece and nephew, Sophia and Evan, inspired him to write this book.
