About the Book
Seeing Thurston Clayborne after nine years, was not on Kalica Macy’s to do list; nor was eating poisoned chocolate, and nearly dying, but fate would have it. It’s not until her life is saved by an experimental drug that things become weird. Side effects become evident; then she is injured, and miraculously heals... Thurston’s return stirs feelings that are the equivalent, of picking at unhealed wounds and making them bleed, but sparks between the two soon catch fire... While seeking out her would be murderer, another blast from the past, who just happens to be a PI, comes to her aid. After finding out that they are pursuing the same man, they team up. The pursuit then becomes urgent, when a friend goes missing, and the culprit of the poisoned chocolate is the prime suspect. Kalica’s life is turned into mayhem that leaves her struggling to pick up the pieces, and it seems that the hardest wounds to heal, are all on the inside...
