About the Book

“If it sounds outrageous, then Rob Gordon was involved.”

“A must read for anyone who thinks that life is stressful!”

“There are others out there that push the limits on decency, this is a man who tells it like it is with a “Flashman Twist”, perhaps a modern Flashman!

“My own work is far removed from the places and situations he goes, that is why I love them..”

About the Author

Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada in 1962, Rob trained as an Engineer at Queen’s University, Ontario which led him to an upstanding career in the Mineral Exploration industry as a Geophysicist. His affinity for the Arts is demonstrated through a side business in the Arts called Algonquin Heritage Art and Watercraft. In 2002 Rob completed his MBA at the IVEY School of Business at the University of Western. He has travelled extensively for work and pleasure. From a young age Rob presented with a keen sense of humour and adventure. In his first book he recounts some of his capricious adventures and travels and perspectives on life. He takes us from early days as a child to high school in the Soo where a new classmate in 7 of 8 classes turned out to be none other than the Great One. Rob later obtained possibly the most unique autograph from Wayne Gretzky the day he returned from signing his first professional contract with the Indianapolis Racers. In doing so, Rob illustrates an ability to not only stumble on unique situations but also to create them and build them into something more. It is this theme, and Rob’s self-deprecating approach, that makes his travels and situations so funny. Rob has regaled people at parties, on planes and in boardrooms with his stories and has become known as a great story teller. Rob is tempered by his moderator in life Katie and along with their three children lives in Oakville, Ontario. Rob spends family time with the kids on the Bruce Trail in the spring and fall and on the slopes in the winter and spends summers in Algonquin Park, hiking and canoeing.
