About the Book

My Hunting Adventures, “The Perfect Shot” is a story of a young boy, Tommy who travels on his first hunting trip with his family. Immediately on that first day he learned that the forest animals do have their home where ever they might feel safe. Tommy finds himself bored and looking for more adventures. He visits with each one of his family members. hoping that something would be interesting to him. He visited with his mother and helped his brother. It wasn´t till he found his dad that he founds something exciting. Then Tommy found his dad target practicing with his bow. This was defiantly something exciting to do. While standing outside Tommy could have never guessed that he would soon face his greatest adventure yet. After hearing strange noises in the woods Tommy was extremely scared at first but his fear soon was overcome with pure adrenaline. All of his next steps and actions lead him into the best campfire story ever told by one of his family members. The story of the Perfect Shot!

About the Author

Melissa E. Herrera, a Substance Abuse Prevention State Employee, has been a passionate bow hunter since childhood. She has begun to publish Children’s Book Stories of fun hunting adventures that are combined with her own hunting experiences and valuable forest lessons. She was introduced young to bow hunting by her parents and has had the pleasure to teach her own two boys the same skills. Melissa lives in the beautiful Española Valley of Northern New Mexico with her family.
