About the Book

A strategic study of the Arab spring phenomenon and the different Arab revolutions. It starts with a historical analysis of the rise and fall of Arabs and Muslims from the dawn of Islam to the outbreak of the Arab spring. The first part includes also an assessment of Islamic movements’ experience and legacy.

Then the book focuses on the causes behind the outbreak, the spread, and the triumph of the Arab revolutions in general and the specific course, progression, and prospects of each one of them.

The next part of the book analyses some successful movements of change, and presents an action plan to ensure the long term success of the Arab Spring. The plan delineates the responsibility of the political parties and elites, the civil society, and the average citizen.

The book concludes with some general suggestions for post-revolution nation-building that cover a wide range of fields including politics, economy, education, media, healthcare, judiciary, and environment.

Finally, the book appendix includes a number of related articles that were published for the author.
