About the Book
A shy child, Barbara always had trouble expressing her feelings. She turned to poetry to express her most thought-provoking ideas. She is always moved by the beauty of nature, profound love, and the complexities of human nature. These are the ideas that dominate her poetry.
About the Author
Barbara Baxter was born and raised in a small town in central Mississippi. She was educated in the area and taught school there for over twenty-eight years, retiring on June 1, 2009. Her main subject area was English, but she spent some years teaching gifted students. She now works part time for the same district. Barbara moved back to her hometown following a divorce. She has two children and one grandson. She enjoys reading, dabbling in drawing and painting, and writing poetry and short stories. She says she is happiest when she has a good book.
