About the Author

My labor of love was written and intended for my familia. Also, to readers who are struggling with circumstances they have no control over. My hope is that in sharing my story, they might have a better understanding of how life was from 1945 to 1963. It begins with the effects of World War II and ends during the conflict with Viet Nam. The struggles of prejudice, segregation, and poverty left a mark imbedded in my heart forever. These events molded who I am today. I conquered the challenges with unconditional love, laughter and an abundance of faith!
